A Summer Of Destination Wedding Hair And Makeup.

This summer has been an exhilarating journey filled with love, beauty, and exploration. From the captivating lavender fields of Provence to the picturesque coastal beauty of Sorrento, I've had the privilege of creating magical moments for brides and their bridal parties. Here I recount a summer of destination wedding hair and makeup highlights, alongside some closer to home.

In June I had the privilege of working in Provence, France: Romance amidst lavender fields The breathtaking beauty of Provence served as the backdrop for one of the most romantic weddings I've been a part of at the gorgeous location of La Mas De La Rose. Beautiful bride Bella had her ceremony outside overlooking the Olive groves and pool. Me and Bex from my team had so much fun making Bella and her bridal party look picture perfect. The experience of working in such an idyllic location was truly unforgettable.

I then had an incredible 4 days in Sorrento. It's coastal allure and enchanting sea views provided the perfect setting for getting Charlotte and her bridal party ready at Villa Silviana. As any seasoned wedding artist knows, summer weddings especially abroad can present unique challenges. It was over 30 degrees that day, so the sweltering heat meant that me, Bex and Kim from my pro- team had our work cut out in maintaining flawless makeup and hairstyles throughout the day. We ate pasta, Ice cream and one or two Aperol Spritz while we were there, my husband joined me too for an extra few days making the most of being Child-free. Can we do that every year please?

Amidst the destination weddings, I also have had the pleasure of also doing quite a few weddings closer to home. I particularly enjoyed having an "office" at the Mandarin oriental in their bridal suite for a few hours :)

My hardest challenge this year although one I embraced and am proud of, is catering to my biggest wedding party size to date- 18 people for hair and makeup. I had 5 of my lovely pro-team join me at Wotton House. It tested my skills in organisation I can tell you. But everyone loved their hair and makeup and it all went smoothly and stress free -I was so proud of my team that day :)

As I look ahead to the future, I am excited for more opportunities to bring beauty and love to brides around the world. I eagerly anticipate the chance to create more magical moments, whether amidst picturesque landscapes or in the heart of bustling cities. Every wedding is a unique canvas, and I am grateful for the chance to weave my artistry into each one.

To all the brides who have allowed me to be a part of their journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your trust and love have fuelled my passion for this craft. Here's to more love, more beauty, and more unforgettable adventures.
